THE RIDE by Thien Thach —  Fiction Memoir written in 1983. (This is a personal fiction memoir, not intended to alienate anyone but to convey emotional experience). Nong Chan was also known as a war zone between the Cambodian factions, In Nong Chan refugee camp, there was a medical clinic operated by ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross). The Red Cross sign was distinctly seen from a distance, because it was placed on top of a hut; there was a huge Red Cross emblem on it.
